Hi Gina! Thanks for this usefull tutorial! I just have one question; The salt that you dropped on the painting, let you sit it on the paper or do you remove the salt when the paper is dry?

Thank you everyone! Yes, the salt must rest on the paper until everything has dried. Some of the salt will become absorbed or disappear. The rest I just shake or swipe off with my hands.

Hi Gina,

Thanks for posting this!

I'm just starting out with watercolor, and I'm trying to figure out what technique was used to create the beautiful splash effect shown here: http://www.100layercake.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Runaway-pop-up-San-Diego-wedding-16.jpg

I went to my art store today and they suggested granulation medium..... but no luck. I've tried alcohol and salt too. Might you have any advice?
